💍 Wedding Officiant Services – Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does a wedding officiant do?
A wedding officiant leads your ceremony, guides you through your vows, and legally pronounces you married. We also help personalize the ceremony to reflect your love story.
2. Are you legally authorized to perform weddings?
Yes! We are fully ordained and registered in Ohio to perform legal wedding ceremonies.
3. Can you help us write our vows or ceremony script?
Absolutely. We offer guidance on vows, readings, and ceremony structure. We’re happy to co-create something beautiful with you.
4. Do you officiate same-sex weddings?
Yes! At Patterson & Tate, we proudly celebrate all love stories.
5. Do you travel to our venue or location?
Yes! We’re mobile and can travel to homes, parks, banquet halls, or wherever your heart leads you.
6. What’s the difference between a civil and religious ceremony?
A civil ceremony is non-religious and focuses on the couple’s commitment. A religious ceremony can include spiritual elements, prayers, or scriptures—it's your choice!
7. How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you know your date, reach out! We also accommodate last-minute elopements and short-notice weddings when available.
8. What do we need to bring for the ceremony?
You’ll need a valid Ohio marriage license, your IDs, and of course—each other. We’ll take care of the rest!
9. How long is the ceremony?
Most ceremonies are 10–20 minutes, depending on your preferences, vows, and any extras like readings or unity rituals.
10. Can you officiate vow renewals too?
Yes! We love helping couples celebrate their continued journey with a beautiful renewal of vows.
